We are Alesea & Michelle – Two mums, very different in personalities and both very passionate about life, our families and the power of sharing experiences.
Our children’s ages range from baby through to 6 years and counting…. throughout parenthood we have realised that so much is trial & error, there is so much available to choose from both on-line and in high street shops and there are lots of parenting forums willing to offer advice……. YET, we and other parents we interviewed weren’t aware of some of the amazing businesses and organisations available to us in Nottinghamshire – On our OWN doorstep !
We decided to do something about it and held the first ‘Nottingham Baby Fayre’ event in June 2011. After a lot of research and hard work, our 76 stall event was a great success and we were overjoyed with the fantastic feedback from visitors and stallholders as well as the money raised for Nottingham Neo-Natal Units. So, we are now wanting to do more …..
Alesea’s background in beauty, holistic treatments, self employment & teaching and Michelle’s background in the advice and voluntary sectors really fuel our joint passion to help local businesses succeed. By combining Aleasea’s fiery, straight talking & naturally curious nature - Michelle’s calm, extremely non-judgemental, earthy & inclusive approach – as well as our experiences with everyone we’ve met and interacted with – we can really discover & share what Nottinghamshire has to offer families.
Due to lack of funding and sponsorship we are not able to hold an event this year, we are however, focusing our efforts on sharing our research and our experiences with families via our website and social networking – we are featuring regular Articles on our Blog page, reviews of products & services, competitions, special offers, listings for both parents and related businesses and much more…..

- We believe strongly that as every child and family is different, so too are the approaches and products that each family need to provide a happy, loving and inspiring environment.
- We also believe in the power of community and that by helping families to discover, access and to use local information, businesses, organisations and groups, we will be helping to improve the services and the choice available in Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire.
