The 2011 event raised £1023 for Nottingham Neo-Natal Units
enabling us to buy a much needed Amecosy mattress providing warmth and thermal support for premature babies enabling them to leave the incubator and be closer to their families whilst still in hospital.
Despite being the hottest day of June we had over 500 visitors who enjoyed 75 stalls selling everything from clothing, jewellery, books, equipment and cakes….
Information was available from many organisations including ‘ The Nottingham Miscarriage Support Group’ , ‘ Hucknall Surestart’, Nottingham Support Group for Carers of Children with Eczema, PNMH UK and the Citizens Advice Bureau
We had talks from our Special Guest – Jo Tantum, Sleep Specialist as well as workshops from St John Ambulance, Child Birth Nature’s way- antenatal workshop and La Leche League.
Activities on the day included: Bouncy castle, White Post Petting Corner, Baby Soft Play area, Free face painting, Cookie decorating and arts and crafts.
And not to forget our Pamper Area including creche facilities so that all tired parents could enjoy some much needed indulgence!
Our day was also filled with taster session for various musical and relaxing activities for children and ended with an outstanding performance by ‘Johnny & the Raindrops’.
